Below are instructions on how to:

  • Change notification settings across your entire account
  • Change notification settings for just one user (including you!)
  • Ensure a user gets notifications about people who to a specific job 
  • Ensure someone who doesn't have access to your CareerPlug account gets a daily email about new applicants


To change notification settings across your entire account:

You can change all of your applicant notification settings at once from your Account tab by clicking Manage User Notifications. Use this page to disable all notifications for a specific role or across your whole account in a few seconds. Note: Only Admin users can use this page to manage applicant notifications.

To change the default email notification settings for a User (including you!):

 
1.  Click Account and then click the Users link.

2.  Locate the employee whose notifications you wish to change. You can use the search box at the top of the screen to find a user. If you want to change your own notifications, search for your own name. Click on the name of the person whose notification settings you wish to change. 

3.  Scroll down to the Notifications section (near the bottom of the page) and click the heading to open the drop-down.

4.  At the top, there is a red button for you to easily Turn Off All Applicant Notifications if this is what you want to do for the user.

5.  There are four sections for you to edit notifications for New ApplicantsNew Fast Track ApplicantsApplicant Tasks, and Applicant Workflow Steps. For any of these, you may click the blue On button to switch it to Off, or the grey Off button to switch it to On.
 
  • You may turn New Applicant notifications on or off and change the setting from Daily Digest to Each Applicant.
  • You may turn New Fast Track Applicant notifications on or off or update your preferences to either email or text you when a new Fast Track Applicant applies.

  • For Applicant Tasks, which will send you a notification any time an applicant completes a certain assigned task, you can switch the notifications on or off and choose to get notifications for Completed AssessmentsCompleted Scorecards, both, or neither.

  • You can turn Applicant Workflow Steps on or off and receive an update based on the preferences you select.

6.  If you would like to apply these changes to you just made to already existing jobs, check the box next to Apply These Settings to Existing Jobs. Otherwise, these changes will apply to new jobs only.

7.  When you are finished making changes to these default email notification settings, click the Update User button at the bottom of the page. 

Note: If the user is still getting emails that they shouldn't or not getting emails that they should, it's a good idea to identify the email they are or aren't getting, as it is likely linked to a particular job. Follow the next set of steps to adjust notification settings for a user in relation to a particular job.
 

To ensure a user gets notifcations about people who apply to a specific job: 

Note: This option can help if you have a user you want to get emails about applicants to a job to which they don't have access.

1.  On your Jobs tab, locate the job for which you would like to change email notification settings.

2. Click on the name of the job to edit it.

3.  Locate the section called Notification Settings.

4.  In the Choose a User drop-down menu, locate the name of the user for whom you would like to change notification settings.

6.  Click the Save Job button at the bottom of the page to apply these settings
 

To ensure someone who doesn't have access to your CareerPlug account gets a daily email about new applicants, follow these steps: 

 
1.  On your Jobs tab, locate the job for which you would like to change email notification settings and click on the name of the job to edit it.

2.  Locate the Notification Settings section and click the blue link for Need to send new applicant notification emails to someone else? 

3.  In the box, input the email addresses desired.

4.  Click the blue Save Job button to update the settings.
