When you post a job, you can set the job to have one of four different statuses:

  • Pending - your job will be created, but it will not be posted on your Careers Page or on any job boards. Use a pending status if you want to create your job but not post it anywhere just yet.
  • Active - your job will be immediately posted on your Careers Page and sent to the external job boards. It will appear on job boards within 24-48 hours.
  • Inactive - your job will be created, but it will not be posted on your Careers Page or any job boards. (Use this status, instead of deleting a job, if you are not hiring for the position but may be at a later time. Your applicants will be accessible and the data from this job will still appear on reports if you make a job inactive instead of deleting it.)
  • Accepting for Future Openings - your job will be created and posted only on your Careers Page, but not on any job boards. On your Jobs tab, the job will appear under the Passive tab. On your Careers Page, the job will be listed under a heading called "Accepting Resumes for Future Openings."

By default, new jobs are set to Active and will be live on the job boards within 24-48 hours.

You can view jobs in various statuses on different tabs of your Jobs page:

Note that when you post a job, you also have the option to post the job at a later date. If you do so, your job will be in a pending status, but it will activate on the date you specify when you create the job.
