Candidates who contact you directly rather than applying through your CareerPlug job postings must be imported into your CareerPlug system before you can move them through the hiring process. There are two ways to import an applicant into CareerPlug. You can either send the candidate the link to your Careers Page and ask them to apply online, or you can manually upload the candidate's information.
 

Sending the candidate a link to your Careers Page

You can find a link to your Careers Page by clicking the My Careers Page button at the top right-hand corner of the screen on your Dashboard tab. With this link, the candidate will be able to apply to one of your jobs and answer any applicable prescreen questions.

Uploading a candidate manually

1.  On your Dashboard tab, click the Upload a Candidate button at the top right-hand corner of the page, or click Add a Candidate on your Applicants tab.

2.  Select the job to which the applicant is applying.
 
3.  Enter as much candidate information as you have. Only the First Name, Last Name, and Email field are required.

4.  If you have an electronic copy of the applicant's resume, click the Choose File button, find the resume on your computer and upload it. If you don't have the resume handy, type whatever information you do have into the Paste Resume field. 

5.  Click Create Applicant at the bottom of the page. The applicant will now be on the Applicants tab and will be able to be moved through the hiring process, just like any other applicant.
